This was a really fun landscaping job in Weybridge that we completed on time and on budget. The customers’ previous garden was an old patio that didn’t offer much so they wanted a complete overhaul. They were keen to make the most of the space they had – wanting artificial grass for all-year-round enjoyment with little upkeep, framed by a new patio and pergola for barbeques and entertainment, and topped off with a small garden office in the corner.
LG Pro Landscaping has always been very popular in Weybridge, having previously been based there. As such, we were highly recommended to the customers for the work they were after. We understood their vision instantly and having done plenty of residential garden renovations, we were confident we could deliver. And thankfully, they were confident in us too!
Despite seeing photos of our previous landscaping jobs, the customers rightly wanted to know more about what type of artificial grass is the best and how we lay artificial grass. We always welcome questions from potential customers because not all landscape gardeners provide the same quality service. We’re more than happy to showcase our expertise because we want all our customers to have peace of mind that their gardens will look great and last a long time. We then moved on to their preferred patio stone and style, pergola wood type and design, and lastly, their garden office design. We made suggestions along the way but all final decisions were made by the customer to ensure it was their vision that came to life. Once the garden design was finished, we sourced all materials and our friendly team got to work!
Our first job was to clear the old garden. This consisted of an aged patio that needed to be broken up and removed (see the first photo above). We then prepared the base using as much as we could from the previous base to save on costs. Preparing the base is a very important step and we always ensure the base layers are built up correctly and the surface is even. If corners are cut, you can end up with sagging and flooding down the line, so always make sure your landscape gardener prepares the base correctly.
We then laid the new patio, meticulously lining up the slabs and ensuring the grouting and pointing were neat and tidy. Once the patio was in place, we laid the artificial grass, following our time-tested process, and applied the sand infill. Next, we moved on to the pergola – the customers wanted a fairly simple but sturdy structure which we completed relatively quickly. Lastly, we built a small garden office in the corner. The office was finished to a high spec and didn’t encroach on the spacious feel of the new garden.
There were no major challenges with this job. If you check out our gallery, you’ll see we’ve done plenty of small residential landscaping jobs like this, and many customers are coming to us after being inspired and impressed by one of our previous jobs. I have to say though, that our gallery is just a small snapshot of what we’ve done over the years. We’ve successfully renovated all sorts of gardens and open spaces, including large commercial premises. So no matter what you’re after, we’re confident you’ll be happy with our designs and the final build.
Back to our garden renovation in Weybridge. We’re glad to say that the customers were extremely happy with the result. As you can see from the photos, it was quite a transformation compared with what they had before!
